The Office of Support Services (OSS) provides a diverse array of goods and services to state facilities, county health departments and community mental health agencies, including:
- pharmaceuticals and food products
- laboratory, medical and pharmacy supplies
- medical records, forms, personal care and housekeeping products
OSS handles the bidding, term contracts and direct procurement of these items on behalf of its customers. It operates on a not-for-profit basis and receives no legislatively appropriated general revenue funds, as do most other state agencies. Therefore, OSS is self-supporting, earning income by billing state departments and agencies for its services.
Mission
We provide legally designated goods and services to our customers, including the procurement and distribution of food, drugs and medical supplies, as well as consultative services. Group purchasing power ensures economies of scale to conserve public resources. We place the welfare of our customers first and support their mission-critical functions.
