Information For Family Members and Visitors

Admission
Local mental health centers refer patients to Northcoast Behavioral Healthcare by determining whether someone meets criteria for admission. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide service for direct admission or "walk-ins." Please contact your local mental health center for assistance.

Family and Visitors
Family and friends are welcome to visit their loved ones but may not bring any item that may be harmful to patients or others. This includes, but is not limited to: any weapon (firearm, knife, pepper spray, stun gun), alcoholic beverages, illicit substances (marijuana, LSD, PCP, cocaine, heroin, mushrooms, amphetamines), tobacco products (snuff, cigarettes, chewing tobacco, cigars), lighters and matches of any type.

Visiting Hours (beginning 7/2/2012)
Monday through Friday - 6 PM to 8 PM
Weekends and Holidays:4 PM to 8 PM
The Unit Treatment Team and the Social Worker will try to accommodate family members who work in the evenings or who travel a long distance to visit by offering an alternative visitation time.
