MACSIS
The Multi-Agency Community Services Information System (MACSIS) is an automated payment and management information system for mental health services. It is a collaborative effort of ODMH, the Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services and community boards. The combined ODMH/ODADAS outpatient payment information system compiles behavioral health care services for both Medicaid paid and non-Medicaid paid services.

HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996)
The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996 is a federal law impacting both consumers and providers of health care services. These links include general information regarding the HIPAA, the ODMH MACSIS HIPAA privacy notice, and information about The National Provider Identifier (NPI), a unique health care provider number used to distinguish individual practitioners or provider organizations during standard electronic health care transactions.
