This presentation gives an overview of the history and principles of recovery. It also summarizes the nine components that should be considered when developing a treatment/recovery plan with a consumer.

This section gives an overview of the Ohio Mental Health Consumer Outcomes System, including its developmental history, the domains measured and results of the system's evaluation process. It also gives an overview of individual data reports that can be used by a clinician and consumer to develop a treatment/recovery plan.

Outcomes-Based Recovery Planning (large PDF file or PowerPoint file)
This presentation describes what consumers have a right to expect and what professional practice requires in the treatment/recovery process. It also summarizes how clinicians and consumers can partner to approach treatment/recovery planning. A four-step process for treatment/recovery planning is outlined, including getting a full picture of the consumer's life, gaining a common understanding of the consumer's status on the outcomes measures and in the recovery process and developing a recovery plan that blends the perspectives of both consumer and clinician. The presentation concludes with a case example.
