Client Rights and Resources
The Ohio Department of Mental Health (ODMH) provides a variety of advocacy services for consumers and families, including but not limited to mental health resources, technical assistance and help with resolving complaints and grievances. ODMH collaborates with regional psychiatric hospitals, community boards and providers, and stakeholders to address advocacy issues, client rights, allegations of abuse or neglect, and respond to larger systems issues.

Toll-Free Bridge (TFB)
The Consumer and Family Toll-Free Bridge line provides referral and resource information specifically to consumers and their family members regarding mental health services, supports, and organizations statewide. The ODMH Peer TFB staff members often work on consumer rights issues, concerns, complaints, and grievances in order to resolve these matters as quickly as possible. The TFB offers information that promotes advocacy, independence, and recovery for those who use this service.
