Clinical Best Practices

Ohio's efforts to promote clinical best practices embrace different, but related, strategies and initiatives aimed at providing the public mental health workforce with state-of-the-art knowledge, skills and abilities. ODMH fosters partnerships with colleges, universities and other stakeholders in Ohio's public mental health system. Included in these partnerships are:

• Wellness initiatives, including Ohio’s Tobacco and Recovery Initiative
• Evidence-based practices initiatives
• Coordinating Centers of Excellence (CCOEs)
• Residency and traineeship programs
• Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA) Program (see HPSA map)
