Behavioral Health System Transitions Work Group
The Behavioral Health System Transition Workgroup is a collaborative effort across Ohio’s public behavioral health system partners, including the Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services, the Ohio Department of Mental Health, the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, The Ohio Association of County Behavioral Health Authorities, The Ohio Council of Behavioral Health & Family Services Providers, The Ohio Empowerment Coalition for Mental Health Recovery, the National Alliance on Mental Illness Ohio, the Ohio Citizen Advocates for Chemical Dependency Prevention and Treatment, the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention Association of Ohio, the Ohio Alliance of Recovery Providers, The Ohio Federation for Children's Mental Health and the Ohio Association of Child Caring Agencies, Inc.
The purpose of the Behavioral Health System Transitions Work Group is to oversee the completion of the remainder of the work related to the TCN/EMV litigation MOU. The work group provides oversight and coordination, policy direction and operational guidance related to the behavioral health system work listed below, while assuring necessary coordination with other areas of work (e.g. housing, workforce, TSIG initiatives, etc):
- Medicaid Utilization Review
- Provider Sub-recipient/Vendor Status
- Provider Financial Report Responsibilities
- Mediation/non-Medicaid Procurement
- Fee Schedule Implementation
- Board Level Medicaid Administrative Claiming
- Defining Priority Populations, Core Services & Benefit Packages
- Medicaid Elevation
